How to Use BAC Water to Reconstitute Your Peptides
This process requires care and attention to sterility. Always wash your hands thoroughly before you begin.
What You'll Need:
· Vial of lyophilized peptide
· Vial of BAC Water
· Alcohol prep pads (swabs)
· Two insulin syringes (e.g., 1mL, 29-31 gauge)
· A sharps container for safe disposal
Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1: Prepare the Vials
· Wipe the rubber stopper tops of both the BAC water vial and the peptide vial with separate alcohol prep pads. Let them air dry for 30 seconds. Do not blow on them.
Step 2: Draw the BAC Water into the Syringe
· Take one insulin syringe and remove the cap. Pull the plunger back to draw in an amount of air equal to the amount of BAC water you want to use (e.g., if you want 2 mL of water, pull the plunger to the 2 mL mark).
· Insert the needle into the BAC water vial and push the plunger down, injecting the air into the vial. This creates positive pressure and makes it easier to draw the liquid out.
· Turn the vial upside down and carefully draw out the desired amount of BAC water. Tap the syringe to dislodge any air bubbles and gently push them out. Set this syringe aside.
Step 3: Transfer the BAC Water to the Peptide Vial
· Take the syringe with the BAC water and slowly inject it into the vial of lyophilized peptide.
· Crucial Tip: Aim the stream of liquid against the inner glass wall of the vial, NOT directly onto the powder cake. This helps prevent damaging the fragile peptide molecules.
Step 4: Mix Gently
· Once all the BAC water is in, gently swirl the vial until the powder is completely dissolved. DO NOT SHAKE the vial vigorously, as this can cause the peptide molecules to denature (break apart), rendering them ineffective.
· You should now have a clear liquid solution.
Step 5: Storage and Use
· Your reconstituted peptide is now ready for use. It must be stored in the refrigerator (typically at 2-8°C or 36-46°F).
· Because you used BAC water, this vial is now stable for multi-dose use for up to 28 days (always check the manufacturer's recommendation, as some peptides are more fragile). After this point, it should be discarded, even if there is solution left, due to the risk of bacterial growth and peptide degradation.
Important Considerations & Warnings
· Sterility is Paramount: You are creating an injectable solution. Any breach of sterality can lead to serious infections. Never reuse needles or syringes.
· Dosage Calculations: Please google a PEPTIDE CALCULATOR. You can find them on ever social media platform or google. Lots and lots of different ones.
· Consult a Professional: This information is for educational purposes. The reconstitution and use of peptides for any purpose should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.
Prioritize safety and sterility throughout the process.
